Seeing that the old CCC foros where quite some time ago, I wondered what you guys all ended up doing over those 100 years or so.

Damnit I was literally about to start this thread myself!
Also might be nice for newcomers to introduce themselves, so fire away everyone!
BUT I DIGRESS:
This summer has been quite eventful with me graduating from university, bagging myself a First (yeah baby) in European Politics, and come this October I'll be starting a Masters Degree in International Security!
If in a few years time I claim to be working in a florists, you'll know I'm really an MI6 agent. Other than that my life is currently one of joblessness (hopefully to change this coming Monday) and dwindling finances (hopefully to change post-Monday).
Glad to see a load of old faces poking their way into the forums, and hopefully we'll see a load of new ones!
*EDIT* I'm 21 now, which means I was just about to turn 16 when I first joined the forums... WHAA!

I don't even know when I "left" the foros anymore to be honest. I think it was after the "Rush II - Live Action" project. So, after that I actually continued to work in Mediadesign (Cutting and Editing). After that I had an offer I just couldn't refuse: Cinematic Artist at Telltale Games in San Francisco. So I lived there for about 7 month while working on games. If you ever played Sam & Max: The Devils Playhouse or the new Back to the Future: The Game, chances are VERY high that you have seen some cutscenes I gave some love to.
Right after that I came back to germany and started my own game (old schooly pointy and clicky) which is kinda on hold now until I find another job.
Oh yeah, and I'll turn 30 next month. I mean wtf right?

Nawa, that's amazing that you're working at a candy store!
I got my Bachelor's of Music in vocal performance from Loyola New Orleans in May, and I just started on my Masters at Roosevelt University in Chicago. I'm 21 now! Not jailbait like back in the old foro ROLFLMLAO!!!!!!111. I kinda stopped drawing because music just kind of took over everything... I was in New Orleans Opera's production of Porgy and Bessie last year, so now I can say I'm a professional opera singer!

Man we're all so grown up. D: When I came into CCC I was a 3rd year (Comp Sci) in college just adding a 2nd major (Graphic Design) to the mix. So I had a combination of logic and arts going on, but I think I liked arts more at the time. I'm amazed that I had time to goof around with you guys because I was also rushing for a fraternity at that time, but I guess you guys were a good source of release from the real world. In the 6 years, I've been on and off active with the fraternity, working at Staples (Taple for some in here) the school newspaper, and then one that will go on for life, freelance designer. The only client I have is a photographer that wants me to put his photos together for a wedding album. We'll see if that expands in the future. In between all of this I dropped into a deep depression period that lasted almost a full college quarter. Medication was required and I did some counseling for that as well, but I'm all good now. Fast forward 6 years from the start: Finally graduated with both my degrees and just received them in the mail. I feel complete. During the the time after graduation I picked up a retail job at Target for the time being just to fill up free time until I could find a job. Then I got an offer at Sony VAIO as a contractor software tester. Couldn't pass that up, so that's were I'm at today. I'm just hoping for an extension. Sorry for the text bulk

I was preeeeeetty young when I joined the forums, like... maybe the youngest actually (who stayed around)...
So, uhh, after the CCC forums huh.. well, life just sort of went downhill after that, both my academic and personal life. Things got rocky when my brother left for college. I never really realized how attached I was to my older brother, until he moved out, because when he left- I couldn't complain to anyone at home (my parents are never home) and I just bottled up everything. Then midway into high school I just completely burned out, my grades went haywire, and I just continuously broke down multiple times throughout the year. Then my parents lost our house to foreclosure. Times just weren't good. But I was able to find an ally through all this mess- which happened to be one of my teachers. After things got stable again- things got insanely better.
During my (later) high school summers I went on academic trips specializing in politics (Washington D.C.), international affairs (China), and just recently medicine (New York/Jersey). They were amazing experiences- met great people, went to the other side of the world, confronted some culture shocks, and I found out what to finally do with my life. Also, just recently, I've began to pick up drawing again.
Currently I'm applying for colleges and scholarships. But I'm seriously considering joining the Airforce for 4 years at the moment, since my family has no money what-so-ever after what happened in the past. I don't mean flying aircrafts 'Airforce', but the medicine field that the Airforce also provides. Then yeah- get my college tuition paid and continue onto grad school.
I also just want to point out that the CCC Forums was a huge part of my life back in late 2005 to early 2008. Just like Poy, CCC was a great escape and my stress reliever as well. I'll always be grateful to these forums and also everyone in it.
Seems like quite a few people faced hardships as well. Glad everything's all good with you Poy.

Glad to hear you're doing well too, Loco I think the Airforce sounds like a nice alternative. There's definitely perks to the military like what you mentioned, the tuition for college being paid for. And the medical fields sounds great. Hope everything goes well for you

This has turned into a Life of Hardships thread it seems, though I as well am not without my fair share of hardships and depression. Lets start with right as I left high school, that's where i remember my last true days of hanging out in the foros all the time was. After high school I went on to college with my degree in Graphic design and Health sciences, I ended up working three jobs and was going through a lot of stress, after awhile i ended up having a breakup with my girlfriend of the time (some of you may remember her, Jaime). All of this with full times college, 3 jobs, and now a break up I underwent a lot of stress, and like Poy fell into a depression, and because of that I ended up failing an entire semester of classes and owing the school money before I could enroll anymore. Jump ahead awhile and I still hadn't returned to college because of financial/credit troubles, I worked full time for a car rental agency as a car service agent/mechanic, and I ended up injuring my shoulder at work and making it almost unusable for about a full year straight, because of this injury I was fired, and am now in a giant lawsuit with the company for their unwillingness to pay for the injury, and firing me while under workers compensation terms. Jump ahead to now and it's been over a year since my injury, the shoulder is feeling better after numerous work done by doctors, I'm awaiting the start of a trial at the end of September into early October, I will be going back to college in the spring to become a Nutritionist because I enjoy helping people, and plenty of people don't understand the good and bad foods, and how they should really be eating. Nowadays most of my enjoyment comes from Rock climbing 2x a week, working out, and of course playing games and now gladly surfing the foros once more

Wow. it seems like even though we all lived hundreds of miles away from each other. We all walked the same path side by side dealing with similar situations whether it be stressful school situations, financial troubles, growing up and moving on with our lives. Somehow we managed to come back to the the same place to escape from our troubles even for just a little while with friends who we've never even seen face to face.
As for me. I've grown up both physical and mentally (even if sometimes I act like a 6 year old for fun) I have my own place. And have been doing good financially for sometime now. I went thru some harsh times after my roomie left after giving me a weeks notice, leaving me to deal with the lease. There were times when all I had was $5 in my wallet and had to decide whether to get something to eat or save it for rent money. I worked as a freelance artist for about a year and did really good. Had a good stream of clients but had to stop because I started to hate it. It wasn't fun anymore and I stopped drawing/painting/animating for about a year. Before finally getting an itch again.
Thinking of going to school to get a psych degree and help little kids.
